Adidas Ltd, comprising the Reebok sports equipment brand, the Taylormade golf company, the Maxfli golf ball manufacturer and the Adidas golf company, is a German sports equipment producer anda member of the Adidas Group. Adidas is the world’s second biggest maker of athletic equipment.
Adidas was founded by Adolf ‘Adi’ Dassler, who had made shoes at his laundry or laundry facilities in Herzogenaurach, Germany, after he came back from World War I. His brother Rudolf entered the company in July 1924, becoming Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory (Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik).
The shirt is black with a discreet 3-string design on the front as well as a modern black Adidas emblem on the right front. Three black streaks are evident on the sleeve and a red-white-black detail runs along the back of the necklace.
The Adidas logo has three lines that are used as brand aid for the company’s clothing and shoe styles. The branding that Adidas bought from the Finnish sports company Karhu Sports in 1952 was so powerful that Adidas was identified as the “Three Stripe Company” by Dassler.
In the first year, its revenue was 4%. This rise was powered by a 5% increase in the Adidas brand, representing an increase in both Sport and Sport Motivation. Reebok’s sales decreased by 6% amid Classics’ growth. The top growth in the business was largely led by two-digit increases in direct customer income, with especially strong support from e-commerce, where revenues increased by 40% in volume. In euro terms, the company’s sales rose by 6% in the first quarter to EUR 5.883 billion (2018: EUR 5.548 billion).
